America's Promise

If anyone ever asked me why I am voting for Barack Obama, why I am a Democrat, what I think the role of the government is, or why I think that the United States of America is the best nation in the world, I will just point them to this speech. I am not even going to attempt to write anything else, as it will pale in comparison to Obama's speech. Bravo.

That is so classic, because I think he is a great orator and I thought this was his worst. He usually blows me away.

Love you lady.

Actually, I was initially "underwhelmed." I did not think it was bad but it did feel different from his other speeches. Less rhetoric and sweeping imagery and catch phrases.

Then it kind of dawned on me that this wasn't what this speech was supposed to be, and I found a new appreciation.
